Exporting from China — practical answers

Everything buyers usually need to know before the first order: minimum quantities, packing, documents, terms and lead times. If your question is not here, send it with the grade and destination and we will answer it directly.

Frequently asked questions

What is your minimum order quantity?

Usually one pallet, one drum lot or one full container

MOQ depends on the grade and packing: bulk base oil is quoted per vessel or flexitank, carbon black per full container, lubricants per pallet or drum lot. Tell us the quantity you need and we will confirm the smallest workable lot.

Do you accept mixed containers?

Yes — this is one of our main advantages for buyers testing a new supply source. Combining several grades in one container is possible where packing and compatibility allow. Details to be confirmed per enquiry.

What are your payment terms?

T/T with deposit, or L/C at sight for larger orders

Balance is released against the shipping documents, so you keep control of the goods until the document set is complete. Terms are stated in writing at quotation stage before any order is placed.

What packing options do you offer?

Depending on the product: 200L / 209L steel drums, 20L pails, IBC totes, flexitanks, jumbo bags (carbon black) and bulk vessel (base oil). Packing choice materially changes landed cost per unit, so we quote options side by side.

How long is delivery?

Typically 3–6 weeks from order confirmation

Lead time depends on producer scheduling, packing and vessel space to your destination. We confirm a realistic window in writing on the quotation rather than a generic figure, and update you when space is booked.

Which ports do you ship from?

Qingdao and Yantai, with Shanghai and Ningbo for southern-origin cargo

Qingdao and Yantai are our customary loading ports, both close to our warehouses and to the plants we work with. For grades produced further south we consolidate at Shanghai or Ningbo. The port is stated on every quotation.

Which Incoterms do you work with?

FOB, CFR and CIF are the usual choices; EXW and DAP can be discussed depending on the destination and your forwarder arrangement.

Can I get a sample first?

Yes for most grades. Samples are normally sent by courier; cost and freight are quoted before dispatch.

Can you match a grade I am currently using?

Often yes. Send the brand and grade you buy today, or its specification sheet, and we will propose an equivalent with supporting data.

How do you handle quality claims?

Each lot ships against a COA retained on file. If a shipment does not match specification, we investigate against retained samples and the producer's records — process to be confirmed in the contract.

Do you supply documentation in English?

Yes — all quotations, COA, MSDS and export documents are issued in English.

Can you put our brand on the packing?

Depends on brand authorisation

Private label may be possible on certain product lines, subject to the producer's authorisation. Ask per case.

Send us the grade you are buying today.

We will come back with an equivalent, a landed price and a lead time.
